OTT-LITE® Easy View Craft Lamp

An OTT-LITE Note from Ana:
I’m addicted! Yes, it’s all about the light… My good friend, Robin Beam, introduced me to the OTT-LITE Task Lamp back in the 90’s (OK, I’m dating myself) and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have them everywhere; one by my computer, two in my studio, one that I have to keep taking away from my husband, John. (He likes doing crossword puzzles and the bills!)

OTT-LITE asked if they could put my picture and a quote on the Easy View Craft Lamp. Of course I said, “YES." So, when you are shopping in Joann’s or Michael's, look for me. The only bummer is that I have lost almost 60 pounds since I took that picture!

A little dab will do it! Ranger Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers rock! Having the Ranger Educator, Robin Beam, as one of my best friends, always keeps me in touch with their latest products. I love using acrylic paint so, when the brilliant people at Ranger put acrylic paint in little bottles they call “dabbers,” they remind me of shoe polish bottles that I used to clean up my older daughter’s shoes. I really like using them on just about everything. You will see me using them in the shows!

WCK's 1964 Airstream® LandYacht Trailer

In 1964 I was purchased new by a couple in Michigan. From there I traveled the greater northwest and into Canada with them and their children. The years passed, the children grew up and I went out of favor and was put in their barn. There for the next 30 years I sat. Then one day in July 2007 my owners took me to Traverse City, Michigan and traded me in for one of those new RVs at Nature & Me R.V. Then Lori, the nice owner of the RV shop decided to keep me. The plan was that when the hard cold winter of Michigan came she would have the guys put me in the garage and they would bring me back to my 60’s splendor. So, there I sat all summer and into the fall out on her lot behind all those new RVs.

Lori had many offers to buy me. Some wanted to strip me for parts others wanted to add me to their Airstream Collection; but she wouldn’t budge and was sticking to her plan to fix me up during the winter.

Then one day late in October this lady came to the lot and saw me. It turned out that she had been hunting for almost a year for a vintage Airstream like me. She asked if I was for sale and was told “NO”. As this lady left the shop Lori followed her out and ask if she knew my value. Ana introduced herself along with her friend, Pam, who was driving her around looking for an Airstream. Ana explained that she had been looking in California without much luck and this one looked as it could be just what she wanted. So, Lori got the key and let her in. I was a real mess. The barn mice had been living in me along with every bug on the farm. Ana could see through all the dirt that I was in pretty good shape. She told Lori that she was doing a craft TV show and that I would be the “Craft Studio on Wheels”. Then Ana and Pam left. I thought oh, please don’t go…take me to California….I loved the Beach Boys music in the 60’s and always wanted to go west.

Halloween came and went, then it snowed and I wasn’t put in the garage. Someone came and put new tires on me and I still sat. Then it was Thanksgiving… No, wait someone is hooking me up to a truck. It was Dave and his wife Linda. We started to move I was going somewhere…. could it be California…no, I didn’t dare to think that I was going west…then within a couple of days I was pulling up in front of an orange tree. Yes, there was Ana, that lady from California…she bought me…Yay, I’m in California!!!
