Papa's Walking Sticks

This is a great video, you girls must so extremely proud of your father/grandfather. I always love seeing the elder generations and the crafts they love. This seems very cutural as well and I reallu love that! These are fantastic walking sticks! I'd be interested in findingout more about them. Does your father/Papa have a website? Or any other purshasing information?

Thanks again for this wonderful video,
I most enjoyed it.

Papa's Walking Sticks

Hey! Those are my sticks. Really. Give them back Ana.

Yes, this is the "other" daughter, the one who hikes. The first hiking stick Dad designed was for my birthday. What made it really special was that the designs he put on it represented many of the places I'd been and things I'd seen. It showed that he really listened to me when I'd told him about my trips. Now, not only do I have a beautiful waking stick, I have a piece of art I display in my home and a wonderful tribute from my loving father.

This is a lovely project to make and give as a gift. FYI if you are "stick" challenged and don't want to find and peel a branch, visit your local Scout Shop. Boy Scouts of America sells hiking "staves" which are raw wood and ready for this craft.

Ana, thanks for sharing the spotlight with dad.
Love you. Keep crafting!

Susan
